I created some custom error pages using the excellent tutorial at http://webxtractions.com/tutorials/error.php. The error pages worked with Netscape 4 but not with IE5.5. If this happens to you, it's not a bug but an IE "feature". Rolling Eyes If you click Tools/Internet Options and select the Advanced tab and then uncheck the "Show friendly HTTP error messages", the custom error pages will work. Smile

if the "Show friendly HTTP error messages" is checked, the custom error pages are suppressed in favor of Microsoft's idea of friendly error messages Exclamation

Just wanted to add to that: if your error page is bigger than x bytes (can't remember the figure), then IE will not replace it with it's own error message.
