Hello,
i have uploaded a new version of my site to a subdirectory on my FTP server, but I don't want to erase the old version yet. So I need to setup some redirection mechanism so that anyone typing www.mysite.com would get content fetched from www.mysite.com/new_site, but will still have www.mysite.com in his address bar (or whatever). I think that mod_rewrite is just the tool for this task. But i cannot understand how I should write the rule. I write the following:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /site_new/$1
but this results in a deadlock (I use a testing server for that )
