 Perl script to zip directories?

Hi,

I'm moving some web sites from a host that doesn't allow telnet, and I was wondering if there was a Perl(CGI) script that I could use to zip a directory and its subdirectories to allow me to transfer one file between the servers rather than FTP everything down and FTP it back up?

I have came across "archiveManager" very good, but I can not find a url for it or even who made it!

May be a custom archive manager for a controlpanel.
