Anyone in this forum very good with Links 2 by Gossamer?
In particular i am looking for spam protection ideas/input.

there's a mod in that forum, from one of the members that does something like Alta Vista has these days, random numbers or so that need to be used before a submission can take place, unfortunately it isn't exactly clear in detail how it has to be installed so i stay away from it because i might just screw up the whole rest of it trying to do something i am not clear about before i start.
