It was Ok when a free host....
Now the restrictions should be removed....
I am able from a free host to fetch the news from a site on the web....
Not from f2s....
I find it totally annoying...

Just a little fetcher from evil walrus I think
$site = "http://mobile.theonion.com/index.html";
$open = fopen($site, "r");
$search = fread($open, 50000);
fclose($open);
etc....

Error Message:
The system was unable to communicate with the server

Yeah, I thought that restriction only applied to free accounts... At least that's what I thought, but maybe that was just to encourage you to pay Smile

Well, remember F2S had that proxy & firewall installed. It's unlikely that it would remove the security restrictions after the free accounts went.

Just get in contact with the staff & I'm sure that they will punch open a hole in the firewall for you.
