Google Talk!

Hi guys,
One more addition to list of IMs. Yahoo,MSN,AOl,Miranda, God know how many are there and now Google Talk. Did you try that?
Do you think it will become popular like its predecessors.

Right now it sounds like it's pretty basic, and thus won't be very popular for a while. However, if they really deliver on their promise of integrating Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, MSN, etc... then Google Talk looks quite promising. Others have done it (Trillian), but Google is much more likely to take over a chunk of that market simply because of its reputation.

I personally can't see any use for it - I'm currently using seven accounts across five different IM services, all from the comfort of Adium (which is based on Gaim). Why would I want Google Talk?

I can see a perfect use for it. As always with google, they enter a market and tend to enter with a product that is much better then what is already out there!
