Hi There,
I am not a newbe anymore on frontpage, been writing webs for years, but the programmingside like php / asp that's quite difficult for me.
Now I have this [html]form which people fill in and the get a confirmation page if all succeeded. The contents of the form is sent to myself.
The question I have is this... is it possible to send a form to me but to also use the users/visitors-emailadress and send a confirmation to his/her email, at the same time?? so... 2 things at 1 push of a button?
This all wihout using php... is that possible?
The thing i find most difficult is to figure out a way, to get the online-filled in-emailadress and put it in a 'script' that sends a mail to that user.
hope you know a clever way to do this

How is the email currently being sent to you? Via ASP? Or via the user's mail client? Or is there a FrontPage extension which does this? |

Well I have two ways to choose.
This form is done with frontpage, so I use the webbot to do the sending.
I don't see any asp files... so to be honest I'm not really sure.
<form method="POST" action="--WEBBOT-SELF--" onSubmit="location.href='../../_derived/nortbots.htm';return false;" webbot-onSubmit>
<!--webbot bot="SaveResults" u-file="guestlog.htm" s-format="HTML/DL" s-label-fields="TRUE" s-builtin-fields="Date" s-form-fields startspan --><input TYPE="hidden" NAME="VTI-GROUP" VALUE="0"><!--webbot bot="SaveResults" endspan i-checksum="43374" --><h2 align="right">
A lot of earlier forms I made, use FormMail, so like this...
<form action="http://www.is.nl/cgi-bin/mailto.exe" method="post">
<input type="Hidden" name="E-MAIL" value="info@showerzone.nl">
<input type="Hidden" name="SENDER" value="GONZALEZ GUESTBOOK">
<input type="Hidden" name="LOAD-URL" value="http://www.showerzone.nl/1thanx.htm">
<input type="Hidden" name="SUBJECT" value="GUESTBOOK">
Just in case I put the code here, so you can see what it does yourself.
Thanx for your reply.

I don't know any way of doing what you're asking while keeping the same scripts. You'll have to use a more advanced PHP or ASP script. |

mm so it's quite tough huh?
So say, I would program it in asp. Do I have to rename the form
from usersform.htm into usersform.asp? like with php???
And what coding would do the trick?
Or is this a way too tough script, when I'm not used to programming ASP?
Bye for now,
