Hello -- I would appreciate a constructive review of my site, as I've only been doing websites for about a year and am still struggling, especially with the "HTML W3C Validator" ... it's very confusing to me, because each time I make corrections and re-submit, it continues to come back with more errors.

Hi

When I looked at your site the discussion boards were down for maintenance [there was a notice saying that it would be back in 2 hours - you may want to check this]. So the site pretty much consisted of one page with lots of links on it.

Maybe you could try organising your links into topic areas - weather, travel news, exchange rates, and using color to help distinguish them. I think this may be more intuitive than doing it alphabetically. Possibly you could give each category a page of its own too with fewer links, but with a little background on what the links are useful for. Not everybody can be bothered chasing up links to see if they're interesting to them.

Also, I was kind of expecting the top links to be internal links. Perhaps these could be placed in the main body along with everything else?

With regard to images: It's good to use the alt attribute for images out of consideration for people using screen readers. I thought your choice of background image was a little peculiar. It seemed to have the URL of a completely unconnected website on it - i hope you didn't pinch this. Wink

Can't help you with the W3C stuff - what kind of feedback does it give?

Hope this helps.
