Hi All,
If a person visits my site and likes what they see hopefully they will save it as one of their favorites. How can I ensure that they can only save my homepage in favorites no matter what page they are on in the site.
I want to do this to ensure they do not miss any messages that may be posted and see any additions to the site since their last visit.
Hope you can help |

You can add an "Add to Favorites" button which will automatically add your home page to the person's favorites, and not a sub page. However there is no real way of stopping users from bookmarking via the button/menu in their browser.
You could redirect all people visiting sub pages without a referrer to the home page, but that would be more trouble than it's worth (if for some reason, because of a firewall for example, there was no referrer the person wouldn't be able to visit your site).
I think you're best putting news and stuff on all pages... |

I can only think of one way of truly doing this, and that's to have a single page website!

maybe it would be a good idea for you to share your findings, that way it will help anyone reading this topic in the future who wants to do what you did. |
