Hello...I am complete newbie to installing PHP and this place came up when I searched for help.
I have absolutely no idea where to start. I have the board software and all the files for it. But I don't know what to do next. Can someone help me?
Thanks. |

Does your server (Ultrahost's) have PHP installed on it? |

Does the board come with instructions for installation? In that case just follow them - or do you not know how to upload files to your website? |

Why did you choose a board which provides no instructions? Unfortunately I cannot tell you how to install it if there are no instructions.
I suggest you use phpBB available from http://www.phpBB.com/ , which comes with ample documentation |

Thats what I downloaded...sorry I should have said. I can't find any instructions on it. I don't even know if you have to pay to use their stuff. |

Thanks....but I got someone to host a board for me...its only a private one though
Anyone kind enough to host for me? Just a place to put my board because any other place sucks. Its cool if you don't want to. Please don't flame me for this. |

1. Go into the administration area
2. In the menu, select "Management" under "User Admin".
3. Enter "Admin" as the username and submit the form.
4. Edit the username and submit the form.
Your username has been changed!
To sticky a topic, click "edit" and select the "sticky" option below the textarea with the post in it. |
