Shouldn't these be grouped into something more general, like 'server-side coding'?

Laughing You really hit the nail on the head Wink

When I changed HTML & Javascript to "Client-Side Coding", I thought about that, but it seemed too general to have a "Server-Side Coding" forum. However that would be the logical thing to do, especially as right now, users of Python (just an example) have to post in the General forum. It would also be better for people asking for comparisons between the two Very Happy

The only problem I would foresee is that some people don't specify what language they're talking about (since they're posting in the Perl/PHP forum). But I guess it wouldn't take long to go through the relevant threads and edit them...

Thanks for reminding me, as always, Adam Very Happy

Edit: looks like it's done! Wink

Just wondering, why not leave them separate? If you know perl, but don't know php, why would you want to read the other posts?

Not really whining, just wondering. Wink

Just because the Perl forum didn't even have two pages of posts Wink

We used to have a "MySQL" & "Other databases" forum too, but as you can see, that's gone. Since all of the forums are now quite "general", there's no real reason anymore to keep Perl & PHP seperate.
