Alrighty:
http://beta.freedom2support.net/adsl/networking.php
Through your comments abuse or whatever at it, It's an early beta, and these are the issues I am aware of....
- Quickfind doesn't have any entrys in
- Incosistancys on Opera (Which are Opera's fault for not knowing what a 1px high cell is)
- CSS is inline (It won't be when finished, it's just like that for development purposes)
- Margin on main body is more on left than right.
Now I realise that this is not going to be everybodys cup of tea, but if you are going to say something is ****, which I expect you will, please say how it can be improved, if you think it is ****, but don't have a way or suggestin of how I could be improving it, simply don't say anything at all.
Issues about HTML Validation and sloppy HTML code should also be ignored for now, remember this is only the beta, the code cleaning up will be done when I'm happy with things. Page Sizes are a bit big too, but thats cos of the sloppy HTML.
This beta build contains only one new feature from the existing 3.0 build, there are features as long as my arm that we're going to tie in and code into the site, but I want to get the design right first.
Eventually a lot of the bottom navigation will be moved to the our site menu on the left, and some new options such as printer friendly / refer to friend etc will be added on the footer line.
There is a possiblity that the left hand side menu will be expandable and collapsable depending on time, but the inital idea is for the cat your in to be expanded. |

More later, but why the fixed width?
Also I'm not sure if the blue you've used on the left navigation menu is appropriate. If necessary use a gradient - that might liven it up. Small thing which is also on the nav menu: there's a 2 or 3 px margin at the top which should go (IMO). |

The Final Design I'm 99% sure won't be using fixed width, its more like that at the moment due to sloppy coding rather than the fact that I wanted it like that.
As for the nav on the left, I agree with that, but then you have menus one underneath the other if they're not selected, and the problem with that is, the end of one gradient running into a start of the other, even with the 1px border, just doesn't look right.
Got rid of the spacing, but now I think it's too hard against the border, or is it just me?
If you've got any ideas for a gradient for the left or perhaps a different shade of blue, I'd love to hear them, just the gradients seem to cause problems when you get to the rows of unopened navigation if you see what I mean? |

There's still a 1px space there - if you get rid of that it won't look wierd.
As to the unopened gradients, I see what you mean. However there are different types of gradients, and I think you could actually use one anyway (just not the kind where it looks the middle is "higher" than the rest of the gradient - if you see what I mean ). |

I might go back to fixed width's, because if you look at:
http://beta.freedom2support.net/adsl/movinghome.php
Which is just another test page with just text in, it looks far far too empty when it's wide, like it needs graphics to liven it up, and when it's fixed width it looks a lot better.
See what I mean though? It just makes it look a bit bland and empty when it's set to 100%
Will look into the 1px space. |

I never said 100%
Try something like 80 - that might look better . |

Yeah, but trust me, 80% width on 800x600 don't look good |

Can't seem to get rid of that one pixel problem, if someone can look through the code, which before you say, I know it's ****, and it will be cleaned up, and tell me where they think it's coming from, I'd appreciate it
Also Any ideas of how to liven up the main body would come in handy too, as it still looks a bit blank, any ways of formatting it so it looks better and ideas along those lines are appreciated. |

I prefer 1) I just tihnk it fits in better with the rest of the design.
And as to the logo I prefer the new one on beta. I think it looks great |
