Did you decide to take the story off the website?

Yeah here it is :

Amateur (Sorry Active) Web Solutions, the local Web Design "Company" that
provide the official Ipswich Town Website have today been relieved of their
"Duties".

The Local Web Design outfit, who we believe were behind the attempted
shutdown and legal action of BluesWeb.co.uk (Or ITFCOnline.net as it was
then) have been axed to cut costs to make the club finanically stable.

The Club today announced that the contract with the Amateurs would expire at
the end of February. After Which, Premium TV will host the club website, as
a subdomain as their premiumtv.co.uk domain. Expect Plenty of ad's there
then.

Ipswich Town Chief Executive, Derek Bowden, speaking of the news, made the
following comments, presumably to keep AWS Satisifed as part of the
termination agreement. Bowden Said : "'AWS have worked tremendously hard
with us over the past year and brought a dedication and passion to our
website that does them great credit"

"This decision has been taken purely on the basis of reducing our outgoings
and in fact the agreement with FLPTV offers us a net revenue gain."

This, to many fans will come as a great suprise and disappoint. However,
when companies such as Amateur Web Solutions decide that they should advise
the club start try legal action against fansites, they should no longer have
any say in a running of what is, after all a fans site.

Bowdens comments seem to suggest that Anscombe and crew at AWS seemed to be
using up a lot of valuabe club resources, and giving them a net loss in this
area.

When you consider factors like ITFC.co.uk is still flawed, with certain
pages still saying "Come back at the start of the season for live
commentary", and the Person To Person betting link hasn't worked for months,
despite the fact they still advertise it, you realise what an utter waste of
money this company have been.

In more marketing Spin, The club in it's press release about this matter,
claims that the online shop was launched by AWS, where infact, the original
concept was developed by CountyWeb a few years ago. This will apparentley
still be run by the amateurs themselves. To show off their development
skills, simply type the word "Watch" in the shope search engine. Ooops, that
doesn't work.

Speaking about the termination in contract, AWS's Director, and the guy
subject to many jokes here at BluesWeb.co.uk, Richard Anscombe, commented :
"The Club's financial position has been well documented, we've had a
fantastic year working with them, we've seen a dramatic increase in web
traffic and I am very proud of the work the team at AWS has achieved."

Again, we presume that Anscombe's great work is totally different to evryone
elses, after all, how many other football club websites have the problems
that we have highlighted above, and called it "Good Work". As for the Web
Traffic claim, isn't it funny, that it conincided with the club promoting
their site more?
