Does Netscape support Iframes, if yes, which is the oldest version supporting it?? |

IFRAMES certainly don't work on Netscape 4.7x on Macintosh (I'm sure this will be the same on PC)
I think I'm right in saying the earliest Netscape browser IFRAMES work in is Netscape 6, which I checked and was fine.

Yup, no IFRAME support in netscape4.x on the PC either |

The Netscape Communicator 4.xx series doesn't support the <iframe> however Netscape/Mozilla 6.xx - 6.22 should I've never tried - on Mozilla - since I use XHTML 1.0 and XHTML 1.1 where possible the later has no support for <iframe>. |

AFAIK, Iframes are an IE only feature. Sometimes, this will solve the problem:
<div style="width: 300; height: 300; overflow-x:scroll">text goes here</div>
But obviously, you cannot include another webpage like you can with IFRAME. |

on mac IE5.1 I could only get this working by removing the '-x'

Out of interest <iframes> were removed from XHTML 1.1 the <object> element would be the next nearest substitute for the old Netscape 4.xx. |
