Hi,

It's been in your furfilment centre for 72 hours now, hence why it says
"DISPATCHING SOON", it's been saying that since earlier on the 25th, when
another order, that I made a day later, was dispatched this morning, surely
the older orders should be dispatched first?

Thanks

Justin

PS :
Could I please have a human reply instead of a simple copy and paste job
next time?

Subject: Your Amazon.co.uk Order (#202-4901604-7720644)

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us at Amazon.co.uk with your enquiry.

To determine when you will receive your order, two factors need to be
considered: the availability of the items in your order and the
dispatch method that you choose.

(Availability) + (Dispatch Time) = Total Delivery Time

Each item in our catalogue has an availability estimate which
describes the amount of time it usually takes before the items will
arrive at our Fulfilment Centre. These estimates range from 24 hours
to 4 to 6 weeks, depending on whether we have the item in our
inventory already, or whether we need to order it from a distributor
or publisher. The availability of each item in our catalogue is listed
on that item's detail page.

Once we receive the item in our Fulfilment Centre, it is dispatched
according to the method you specify.

For a complete description of our delivery options, please see the
"Delivery Information & Costs" link in the Help Desk area at the top
of any page, or simply click on the following link:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/browse/-/help/502482/

We are usually able to dispatch an item to you the same day we receive
it from a distributor or publisher. Whether you've chosen to have the
order dispatched when all items are available or as items become
available also affects this.

Whenever items in your order are dispatched, we'll send you an e-mail
message confirming the date, contents and method of delivery.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.co.uk.

Warmest regards

Beth Marsh

Dear Justin

Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk regarding your order #202-
4901604-7720644.

As you can imagine, especially during the Christmas season, our stock
situation and availability estimates can change very rapidly from one
day to the next. I can confirm however that your order has entered
the dispatch process and should be leaving our fulfilment centre very
soon.

Please be assured that all of us at Amazon.co.uk are working around
the clock to keep our listings as up to date as possible, and our
stock and services ahead of demand. We are also making a concerted
effort to keep our customers abreast of changes as soon as we become
aware of them.

Unfortunately, in spite of all of our efforts, there will be some
unforeseen delays, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience
which these may cause.

Thank you for shopping at Amazon.co.uk and if you have any further
queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Warmest regards

On Monday I ordered some items, and they were set for dispatched
within 24 hours, despite showing "Dispatching Soon" Monday
afternoon, they have still not been dipatched, and the expected
delivery date says 26th November it has not changed, and it still
says the same despite it still saying "Dispatching Soon".

I do appreciate that it is a busy time of year, but the service I
have come to expect from Amazon, is that it takes no more than an
hour or two at most for items to change from "Dispatching Soon"
to "Dispatched". If there was any delay, it normally happens before
it reaches the dispatching soon stage.

To me, and from what I have been told in the past, "Dispatching Soon"
means that the order is simply completed, and boxed, and is waiting
to be sent out, why has this not been done before now?

Thanks

Justin

Dear Customer

Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk regarding the status of your
order.

I have checked our records and found that indeed it is still with us
and has not yet been dispatched. The date it was meant to be
dispatched was yesterday, thus this was quoted to you previously. It
had obviously been delayed. However, the good news is that it is in
the last stage of the dispatch process and is just waiting to be
shipped out to Royal Mail. I am sure that it will be there soon.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Thank you for
choosing Amazon.co.uk.

Warmest regards

Dear Customer,

Firstly, I would like to apologise for any contradictory information
provided by our system.

After further investigation, I can confirm that the package was sent
on the 28th November, as we can confirm that the last two elements of
the dispatch process have been completed. These two elements are
the "weight check" of the package which determines our own postage
cost (the package weight was 1.41kg) and the "manifest" has been
printed (one of the stickers which are placed on the outside of the
package).

Given this information we can be sure that the package has been sent
from our fulfilment centre.

We hope it arrives shortly.

Please don't hesitate to contact us again should you have any further
queries.

Warmest regards
