You may have noticed that there is now a box below the menu on all pages of the main site which says:

Quote:
Set my default layout to:
- Standard (current)
- Plain

What does this mean?

It means that you can now choose a default layout to view the site with, which will be stored in a cookie, and remembered, so that every time you visit the site, it will show up with this layout.

What is the difference between the default and plain layouts?

  • The number of tables has been reduced
  • The right column has been removed (Who's Online, Stats, News)
  • The SQL queries and PHP necessary for the generation of the right column have been removed, which makes a faster loading page
  • The logo is smaller

What does this template look like?
Here is a preview, which will not change your default template:

Note: this actually appeared about a week ago, but I wanted to leave it a little in case there were any bugs Very Happy.
