One CGI/perl database program that I have found that works quite well and easy to use is DBman. DBman allows me to set up a flat file pipe (|) deliminated database and create on the fly webpages from the perl script. One page that I have used this program on is the list of books for a Canadian publisher called The dundurn group www.dundurn.com. This Database program makes the pages for each book title look like a static web page, the perl script creates the html for the page.
The flat file database may not be as sophisticated as a sql database but it is easy to configure. |

I think it requires a Perl module which might not be installed by default. |

Yeah, I think that's it. I've never used it though, as I hate Perl |

I try to avoid perl if I possibly can, as it's a lot more buggier and slower than PHP. |

And it's a real pain to debug. |
