What is the purpose of that Server Side PGP Encryption? What does it secure on the server? Who holds the passwords (keys)? Who generates the keys? What version of PGP? Is there a CA service involved? |

umm... they are a DonHost reseller who are one of the worst hosts i've ever seen reseller! The Whois info below proves tha they are a DonHost resleller...
Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, INC.
Organization: Jascha Wanger
address: 201 Wilcrest #909
Houston, TX 77042 US
Admin contact: Wanger, Jascha
email: jascha@MYREALBOX.COM
phone: 877 4693437
fax:
Tech contact: Wanger, Jascha
email: jascha@MYREALBOX.COM
phone: 877 4693437
fax:
Nameservers: ns2.donhost.co.uk
ns1.donhost.co.uk
DonHost are VERY, VERY picky on who they and thier resellers host! They have a TOS that is so strict! Stay away from Digioso.com & DonHost.co.uk (they are both the same!) |

so what does that matter? f2s been operating since 1997 (well the freedom2surf.net domain been in use since then) - and they dont appear to be doing well now... |

I was one of the unfortunate ones that bought an account from them.
The service was okay until Saturday- May 25.
My first bad clue was when I wasn't getting any email thru my email account.
When I sent an email to my account it was rejected.
Then I couldn't access it via http.
When I ran a whois on it , it says no nameservers were found.
When I sent an email to techsupport it was sent back.
Still haven't gotten a reply from the admin address.
With the address being from realbox it probably was nothing but a SCAM
all along. |

My site www.binary-insight.com is hosted on f2s.. Why do you think they serve bad? Their support woke up after i've paid them And I like firms with UNLIMITED traffic. The reason is that i don't like limits |

There is no such thing as unlimited traffic, F2S just dont tell you what their limit is which is a bit poo in my opinion. |

The peak monthly traffic i had was 15 GB. But my site even didn't slow down. Probably they have traffic limit but it is too large. Nikholas Panayis, their support man said me that there is No traffic limit and for now i believe him.
Any other confiderations against f2s? |

I prefair to have a set limit rather than get a call one day and be told im using too much..
To be fair I used to use F2S for my site, but then I was approaching their 5mb database space limit and 50mb more cost about £80
Then I thought sod it and took the plunge and went with cyberwings, at about £50 for 2 accounts with 10gig xfer and 500mb space on each. Was a shame to waste about 8 months hosting on F2S but to buy the extra database space just wasnt economical as my yearly renewing fees would have been about 100 more than with CW. |
