I voted for the rectangles as they are nice and small. I do like the first set of stars but would be better if they were of similar size to the existing ones.

Could you change the tinge of purple a little, either making it darker or lighter - there's something not quite right about the way they are now.

I've just realised you were probably refering to the outline rather than the middles, but you may as well see these anyway - with lighter middles

Maybe you could try a black outline with a pinkish-red (like the left of this page) inside?
