In MySQL, there are 3 types of files .frm, .myi, .myd for each table in a database.
.frm has the defination of each table, i.e attributes, their types etc....
.myi stores the indexed table
.myd has the whole data
Since there is no .myd file, this means that all data has been lost. If you have data on paid host then you can ask them for last backup. Paid hosts take backup on weekly/daily basis.
When a file is deleted from harddisk it can still be recovered back until the data has been overwritten or harddisk defragmented. For windows, you can install Norton Utilities to recover data. There should be many similar applications that do the same job on Linux. Try searching Google or SourceForge.net for similar applications for linux if you are unable to find any. |
