i have my own forum which was managed by someone else previously. its in its early stages but i now need to work on it myself. i have no idea where to start . any ideas where i can get info online or any cheap books/software you would recommend.

What kind of work do you need to do on it/what do you want to read about? Managing your forums, or making changes to phpBB's code to add features?

thanks for replying. im new to all this so guess just need to learn how to manange forums to begin with - have found www.phpbb.com site and looks useful but grateful for any other advice.

btw my first problem is ive forgotten my passwrord Laughing

have requested a new one via the site but not been emailed to me yet . have checked its not gone to junk mail etc and hasnt.

any ideas cos lost if i cant even log in Confused

Do you have access to the database? If so, look in the "phpbb_users" table and find your username. Then check that the associated email address is correct - if not, change it.
