Hi again,

Now I'm trying to ignore aphabetic strings. Here's what I've done:

$line is the different lines

if ($line != /[a-zA-Z]/
{
code here...
}

But it seems not to work. I've also tried:

if ($line =~ /[^a-zA-Z]/
{
code here...
}

but it didn't work either.

Anyone has the idea why?

Best regards,

Rui Fernandes

Have you tried closing the parentheses? You have if(... instead of if(...)
