Portland is very pleased to announce the provision of a new service.

PortlandSQL is a new autonomous SQL server running MySQL 4.0. Accounts can
be run and administered remotely from any web server or SQL client in
the World.

Our current SQL server is limited to Portland-only hosted websites. This new
service is unlimited as far as connections go. However, security of your
account can be customised on a web-based form on the new website to allow
only certain access from certain hosts.

We believe one of the growth areas of web hosting in the next few years will
be based around SQL type products, and this project is designed to stamp our
claim to be one of the first SQL Hosting companies in the World to provide a
standalone service.

Some may ask: "What is SQL?" It stands for Structured Query Language and
is used to provide a database for storing quantities of data. It is becoming
increasingly used as the engine for interactive websites.

If you want to know more please visit:

http://www.portlandsql.co.uk

Prices start from Free as usual. Want to learn SQL? What better time.
