 localhost ok but other pc's can't access - xp & apache

I'm running apache/php/mysql happily on my pc via localhost but can't access from other pc's on network.
I have
turned off xp firewall
shared all the relevant folders to all users
tried with fixed IP address for my PC as well as dhcp address
