C Compiler

Hi,

I need a C compiler hosted in a win32 machine ( with Windows XP ) that can generate the code to run in Linux ( target ). Does anyone knows one that can perform this task? I found one, the LCC compiler, but I can't seem to put it working right... I don't know how to configure the MASM assembler and put the included libraries working.

I need some assistance. Anyone...?

Your best option would be to download Cygwin and run GCC in that.

Well, I don't know; doesn't Cygwin change the operative system of the computer to Linux? I use DOS since it was invented! ( or very close of it...).

Linux is a little bit confusing to me.

No, cygwin just allows you to have a Linux environment inside windows, which essentially allows you to run Linux applications on windows.

I see...but the problem is that I intend to compile the C programs to Linux to have them run in my webserver. I don't think Cygwin allows that.

It should do, if you use GCC to compile your programs in Cygwin then it should still output a valid linux binary that can be executed on your server.
