Somebody told me that host.sk offers unlimited space and php/mysql for free!!!!!! And it must be very fast also!!! The site is totaly written in slovak and i'm not good in slovak Cool

. So is there somebody out there who could tell us more about that offer? THANKS!

what are they saying there is that you have unlimited space for your web, unlimited email space, 3rd level domain - user.host.sk, shell account to your data and emails, support for php, you can use mysql database, wap technology, and no ads. pretty good

I got a *good* formular page for automatic translations
http://www.hemmerling.com/html/en/translat.html

even with slovenian -> german/english translation.

But this "Popis stránky"
is translated as

Popis stranky
= (german) Aufbieten Kotflügel
= (english) Muster wing

while
"stránky" cannot be traslated by my free services.

Maybe this is the test question "Are you from Slovenia, indeed" ? :-)

Btw, when trying the original formular, I failed due to unexpected error messages, but now I succeeded ! Thanks for the help.

Btw, with the *english* formular, still great as reference, two fields were exchanged

This is right:
Stats = state, country
PSC = zip code, postal code

so be shure to fill out the original forular, precisely.

.....i got the email confirming my username & password, but how long does it take before you can start using the FTP?

as I upload my php files to ftp.host.sk and checked them throu browser. i discovered that php coded <?php ......... ?php> doesnt load to the page.
There is the problem? Maybe it needs other chmoding?

i have tried my best to register on host.sk but cud'nt..i can't understand the error message it gives..

well i managed to register eventually and got ftp working
i tried to up a vbb but all i get is an error unable to get to host because i dont have permission in step 3
i've set the config to localhost anyone tell me if this is correct or maybe do we have to apply for mysql to be turned on i dont know
and popis stranky is description
sinet i used andrews version as a guide and went to the registracia page i had no problems

update i found the database db.host.sk but i'm still getting the same error

update you've gotta create the database http://www.host.sk/createdb.php but i cant seem to get it to register keeps sending me back anyone know what the 4 fields are ?

i got a lot of errors last night razz but its ok this morning i think it was them having problems mmmm reminds me of f2s days Smile

well i got a vbb working on it and to be honest i've tried a few free hosts and this is reasonably quick for a freebie , well its useable normally they are that slow its impossible to get a board working so i'm impressed Smile
