I have a folder on my C drive titled CS8000, it contains about 6 gig of files and takes up alot of space. A. Does anybody know what these files are? and B. Can I delete any of these files to give me some space?
Thanks for any advice in advance,

I did a format about 2 months ago and don't run any progs with anything similar to this name. All the files end with .$$$ so I'm presuming they're temp files of some sort, they were all created on the same date(about 2 weeks ago) and all within about an hour, so it can't be something I've downloaded (5.3 gig per hour...I wish). The folder does not contain any other file types. I'll wait a couple of days to see if anybody else has any ideas then risk a deletion.

Could it be a system restoration folder or some kind of backup? |

try renaming the folder then rebooting, if everything works it's safe to delete...if not just boot with a boot disk and name it back |

I renamed the folder and moved it to another drive, all ok, deleted folder, all seems to be working fine. Thank for your advice.
