I'm a real n00b when it comes to graphics. I use PSP 8 for all my graphics editing, it's the easiest for me to use. What I'm wondering is if there is a way to fix up a picture after resizing it smaller without losing the details? I want to take a 2304x1720 scan I've got and make it 640x480 but the last time I tried it was made sharper in some areas but the eye colors and stuff got messed up. Any suggestions on resizing without losing details?

I don't really have any particular suggestions Pepper, however you should resize all images in a graphics program, and not let the browser resize them. Also make sure you keep proportions when resizing Smile. However if I'm not mistaken, using a higher resolution will help you keep more details in your resized image (Darren can correct me if I'm wrong Laughing).

LOL I forgot all about this post. I'm using Paint Shop Pro 8 to resize the scan and if I make it smaller it does get better and did get a little sharper with the one touch clean up in PSP8. I didn't lose any detail i actually gained because the scanner took a 6"x4" photo and make it 6x bigger so by resizing it smaller I took it back to the original size. It looks good now. Very Happy
